Job Description
The Eaton Energy Transition and Digital team is accelerating advancement of its digital platform and is scaling plans to implement Brightlayer Digital Solutions for their end customers in Europe Middle East and Africa. The software technology is designed to help manage, monitor and control devices along with management of key resources such as power, space and IT Infrastructure in our customer computing environments with a particular focus on data center as well as commmercial and industrial buildings. The Technical Sales Engineer will support all technical presales activities related to Eaton Brightlayer portfolio of SW applications in order to close opportunities successfully. He/she will use all technical resources from the Digital Hub to achieve this goal. In order to provide product offering that fulfills customers needs, the SW Technical Sales Engineer performs the below critical tasks: A. Proactively act to understand and solve customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries. Provide optimum service support for customers through phone, personal visits, etc. B. Develop service related trainings to field staffs as well as customers C. Perform service activities according to company policies and safety standards D. Develop documentations for service related issues and resolutions. E. Investigate and troubleshoot product service issues F. Identify problems and record solutions for reference purposes G. Educate customer representative about the product usage and maintenance H. Stay updated on industry standards and technical service knowledge I. Address customer enquiries in a timely manner J. Coordinate with Engineering to fix product issues K. Inform Management on product /service issues as observed through interaction with clients. Qualifications #LI-AS1 A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or similar. 5 years experience in application engineering in a sales environment Highly knowledgeable in reading blueprints, designing and planning.
