The Siemens Mobility division has an exciting opportunity for Technical Sales Manager to join our Siemens Mobility MRX team, based at our Belmont office in Perth

We are looking for a pro-active, high achiever who is used to work under pressure to tight deadlines. The Technical Sales Manager plans and executes sales targets and activities in selling a specific portfolio to customers by combining and leveraging specialized product and unit know how in order to increase sales and to achieve defined targets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plans sales volumes and potentials target customer for the American Market in alignment with the regional company.
  • Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning.
  • Completes sales and revenue related key reporting tasks.
  • Analyses the specific market conditions and use the interface to the product team to influence the roadmap.
  • Builds and maintains a regional company focused network.
  • Contributes to the development of after sales activities in the region.
  • First point of contact for the American region for all technical sales related queries and promotes collaboration within the organisation to secure excellent customer support.
  • Prepares and coordinates bid management activities in cooperation with the tendering team.
  • Mapping of customer requirements to the product capabilities for delta analysis.
  • Influence and navigate end customer in an early state of our product capability to secure the compliance of bids in a later stage of the tendering process.

Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary education; Bachelor’s in business or technical related discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in similar function with bid management responsibilities ideally within the rail industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management standards and procedures.
  • Experience working in an international environment preferrable for a large matrix-based organisation.
  • Ability to manage the delivery of multiple bids through corporate governance procedures, including parallel approval workstreams (e.g. financial, technical, commercial etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written; ability to influence and negotiate customer groups internally as well as externally.
  • Experience in coordinating project teams to ensure bid and tendering deadlines are met.
  • Analytical and detail focused.
