Technical Sales Manager, Vegetable Oil Process, Beijing
We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join the robustly growing Vegetable Oil Process industry in Novozymes China. In this role, you will take ownership for overall strategic key account management and activities of business development for Novozymes China. The location is in Beijing, China. The goal is to achieve profitable growth by proposing NZ value proposition “Create More with Less”, “Value add by product” and “Reduce waste generation”. This position is established with the intent to strengthen the local presence. The detailed tasks and responsibilities will include, but not limited to below:

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet sales targets and set short to midterm targets.
  • Develop multi-layer sales relationships within account and develop/maintain power map to understand decision power distribution; leverage the executive suite; Orchestrate the relationship between the key account and NZ.
  • Convince decision makers and stake holders Buy-In and comes to new investment for enzyme technology, plant modification, replacement of existing chemical to enzyme, and etc.
  • Provide input to sales management in terms of e.g. general account trends, competition, industry dynamics.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team to provide value-added service to customers, such as R&D, Tech-service, SCO, Finance, PA, etc.
  • Turn business and industry development into sales opportunities.
  • Identify competitive threats at accounts and inform by registering relevant information in CRM and follow-up on planned measures.
Required skills and qualification
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree (Chemical Engineering/Engineering).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of industry experience like production / process in the oil and fats manufacturing environment (Refinery, specialty Fats, Biodiesel or Oleochemical)
  • Be able to see through the whole sales cycle and to provide customer with technical support in terms of enzyme know-how, oils & fats and engineering knowledge.
  • Interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and relate to customers and colleagues of different backgrounds.
  • Have good understanding of the different values of mainstream products, by products and waste from different processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Passion to win, open mind, positive attitude, self-driven, and follow business integrity.
  • Passionate in the oil and fats area.
  • Excellent communication skills to convince different level of stake holders, i.e. C-Level, Mid-Management, and operational team.
Ability to travel 50%+
