  • Position Summary:

    Genotyping Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible to drive business growth by providing specialized support for this application on qPCR platforms to Sales Reps and distributors. The ideal candidate will cover entire Mexico, and will be based, preferably, in Mexico-DC. Core responsibilities include planning the territory with Sales Reps and channel Manager, developing/creating sales opportunities at current and new accounts using strategic and commercial mindset, tracking opportunities progress (i.e., sales cycle, support needed) aligned with sales targets (AOP) and forecast. The candidate will drive the company’s genotyping platform in the academic, industrial and pharma markets by working with local marketing and, eventually, with global business units to understand genotyping opportunities worldwide and leverage them in Brazil, always partnering with commercial team, prioritizing and aligning actions.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Generate and qualify sales leads
    • Follows Forecast call and understands the path to reach business and financial targets
    • Identify and nurture market-specific KOLs
    • Build relationships with key customers to promote penetration, retention and loyalty
    • Direct the growth of business by capturing new accounts/business and increase share of wallet at current accounts
    • Prioritizes projects aligned with Divisional and commercial leadership
    • Follows market intelligence that influences the strategic plan
    • Identify competitor activities and develop tactical activities
    • Coordinates with Marketing to keep commercial team up to date regarding product & application information
    • Participates in process and operation improvement opportunities
    • Responds to internal and external inquiries
    • Comply with company quality management systems, policies and procedures
    • Additional duties/responsibilities according to business needs

      Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s

      Language: Spanish and English (writing and Speaking)

      Years of related experience: 4+ years

      Competencies: (skills, knowledge, abilities)

      Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and basic genotyping applications (qPCR, microArrays). Honed interpersonal skills. Results oriented and customer-need focused. Commercial drive. Self-started personality. Flexible to be part of matrix organization

      Extensive experience with molecular biology techniques and genotyping applications. Experience selling into the genomics market and knowledge of the potential customer base, especially in for-profit accounts. Exceptional counselor selling and presenting experience.

      Travel Requirements:50-60%
