Job Description

The job: Product Specialist CO2, BSC & Connectivity – Northern Europe (Band 6)
This role is responsible for the Business Development of the CO2, BSC and Connectivity portfolio in the Northern European region with emphasis on implementation of commercial strategy and marketing tactics and for gathering of local market and competitive intelligence. The objective is to drive commercial execution from Good to Great. This role is to drive the execution of the commercial strategy and tactics in the Northern European region in close cooperation with Regional Sales Teams, Channel Management and the Business Units. This execution is instrumental to achieve regional sales and market share objectives for the CO2, BSC and Connectivity. A key element of the role is to coordinate the activities focusing on new market segments and new customer opportunities in the region, to execute on those opportunities that offer the highest sustainable, profitable sales growth. Ability to monitor, analyze and report on business performance on a routine basis is essential.
 
Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering regional revenue, profitability and market share growth objectives.
  • Helps to develop the tactics, and drives flawless execution that is most relevant to the implementation of the EMEA commercial strategy, as well as global product strategies, to accomplish revenue and growth targets.
  • Analyses trends and needs in the Northern European Region, market segments and customers, for the product portfolio.
  • Supports and facilitates market research into key market & pricing trends and evolving customer requirements.
  • Works closely with Regional Sales Teams and Channel Management to identify market and customer opportunities in order to maximize market share and revenue growth.
  • Supports, in cooperation with marketing, the implementation of promotional tactics and establishment of metrics to assess performance of each promotional program.
  • Coordinates with Customer Service to ensure back office customer support competencies and processes are aligned to meet customer needs, and CAS standards are met.
  • Travel required independently to customer sites, trade shows, exhibitions, road shows, seminars, channel partner and sales organisation meetings.
Experience/Qualifications/Qualities:
  • Must have a passion for laboratory consumables and equipment products and the associated markets.
  • Proven experience in industry, academia, or related field with progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in a sales or marketing position in industry, academia, or related field with exposure to laboratory consumables and equipment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in personal sales
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis.
  • Demonstrated success in forming inter-departmental relationships.
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative, and good business judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Experience within Company or other life science competitors
