Based on our comprehensive application and technology knowledge, we create differentiating value for and jointly with building users, system integrators, installers, wholesalers, and OEMs. Our division Building Products is therefore looking for a great Technical Sales Support Engineer to reinforce its fantastical Sales team. Responsibilities & Tasks · Responsible for Pre- and After-Sales support for technical issues (product, application, configuration Assist customers and Sales with product selection, system configuration, application questions and other pre-sales technical support Act as the direct point of contact for a portion of our customer base as well as for our outside sales team. Via telephone or email. Process oriented approach: standardized interface to customer, escalation within RC, escalation towards L2 Collect market requirements and provide information and support to help get our products specified Research and ongoing knowledge expansion of new BP Fire products and solutions Up to 10% domestic travel required with possible international travel Localization of technical documentation and tools Initiates/provides internal or external trainings Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years of Sales Experience preferably in the field of Fire and Safety Fluency in English (Proficiency Level) is key – additional languages are always an asset Technical writing experience, and presentation development using Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint Dynamic and compelling presentation deliver skills Proven promotional and consulting role experience Excellent time management and prioritization skills Creativity and problem-solving skill set Ability to simplify complex information into meaningful and useful subsets, such as codes and standards Customer service orientation Domain Expertise Self-starter with aggressive energy to accomplish assigned tasks on time Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Experience in Fire Safety Knowledge in Fire Safety technology Knowledge in Communication & Network technology Experience in Security a plus Reporting Line · SI BP Head What else do I need to know?
