Your objectives as a Global Black Belt Technical Specialist in the Catalyst Team is to be a champion of Design Thinking & Challenger Selling with a “value first” approach to strategic sales engagements to ensure customer identify the unique value & impact of Microsoft technology platform. Identifying innovative and new initiatives for customers using a design thinking and strategy consulting approach and helping build business compelling business cases to justify customer investments and uniquely position Microsoft in that decision-making process.

 

As a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (GBB TSP) you function as a worldwide subject matter expert (SME) on this specific. GBB TSPs provide world-class knowledge, skills and abilities to local sales teams to secure wins. These wins showcase how Microsoft innovation can help customers digitally transform their businesses across the enterprise. Additionally, GBB TSPs are viewed as leaders in the Dynamics workload-specific technical community given their required depth of technical and functional product knowledge.

 

As part of the Dynamics 365 Sales Team Unit, GBB TSPs are responsible for the creation and delivery of high impact challenger presentations to BDM’s and TDM’s unlocking business value with unique Microsoft offerings. You will present Microsoft solution architecture to enterprise customers and position and enterprise application assets in a manner that differentiates company strategy. GBB TSPs establish confidence and win customers' trust by proving that Microsoft is both enterprise and industry-ready to run the most critical enterprise applications. An essential part of the role is partnering with other Specialists and Technical Specialists within field sales, partners, as well as other Microsoft sales and technical sales resources, to understand customers' business pain, determine the necessary technical strategy across applications & cloud deployment, design/develop compelling solutions leveraging Microsoft technology assets that showcase the differentiated value of the Microsoft solution and map to the business outcomes that will be achieved, and to remove technical blockers that impede sales.

Responsibilities:
• Understand customer goals and challenges and map those back to the Dynamics 365 product portfolio
• Works closely with Field Leadership, solution architects, and partner organisations to evangelise and deliver the Catalyst ‘large deal’ process and methodology to customers
• Supports/Leads customer engagements with the top customers, delivering high impact strategies, business cases, and proposals that are linked through a cohesive story. The team will be responsible for creating the strategy and storyboard, engaging with customer executives and delivering strategic findings and proposals to select customers.
• Identify innovative and new initiatives for customers by facilitating workshops that incorporate design thinking concepts and techniques.
• Technical prowess and passion-especially for Dynamics 365, Azure, Artificial Intelligence, M365 and modern Agile Application design practices and principles
• Has deep experience across a broad set of customers and industries needed to provide meaningful insight to help enable and coach field based Technology Specialists.
• Harvesting interesting and relevant IP from an engagement with a customer to integrate into our wider IP pool shortening future selling cycles. Sharing these learnings across Microsoft stakeholder communities
• Design, build, and demonstrate innovative solutions to address sales challenges
• Collaborate with the broader Business Applications field TSP and GBB TSP Communities, including Community Calls, Ready, etc.
• Participate in ongoing technical and functional readiness to maintain a state of workload-specific Subject Matter Expertise
• Present Dynamics 365 technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security stack
• Attain quarterly and annual objectives defined collaboratively with management

• Orchestrating complex solutions with internal and external partners for multiple Microsoft products and services.
• Helping identify and diagnose technical, architectural, and competitive blockers and respective solutions for sales opportunities and usage decision blockers, and helping ensure that these solutions are implemented.
• Sharing practical knowledge with partners to drive the sale, deployment, and adoption of Microsoft solutions.
• Shaping current and future products, marketing strategies, and customer centricity ideas through your feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering.

Qualifications


• Solution architect. The expertise and ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical solutions in the Dynamics 365 enterprise business applications space by integrating with customer architecture required
• Cloud Trust. High-level expertise in sophisticated identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance requirements, and experience integrating them into cloud and hybrid solutions required.
• Technical breadth. Enterprise customer level experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructures and adjacent technologies, architecture designs, migrations, and industry standards required.
• Technical depth. Domain authority, having enterprise customer level technical experience with design, configuration and implementation of CRM and/or ERP solutions as well as competitive product knowledge required
• Community Builder. Understand capabilities of, strategically be able to work with, influence cohesively, build and grow, Microsofts (or similar) customers, members of the Microsoft (or similar) sales, services, and marketing organizations, internal and external communities and Microsoft (or similar) partners required.
• Excellent Communicator. Strong people negotiation, organizational, presentation, deep technical product demo, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Market Maker. Strong leadership to influence key technical decision makers, influencers, industry decision makers and or boards required.

Technical Knowledge
• Solution/sales engineer for a CRM, ERP, HCM or SaaS-based company or similar technology
• As technical leader of multi-million-dollar business application deals requiring orchestration of large, dispersed, virtual teams composed of industry, and solution team members
• Driving technical sales processes including pre-sales, POCs, project management
• Successful track record of implementing end-to-end complex business apps and solutions
• Successful track record of competitive displacement
• Web and application server programming experience such as C#, ASP.NET, REST, SQL, HTML5, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Level-400 solution development (coding experience desired but not required)
• Competitive knowledge of Customer Engagement, Operations, Customer /Field Service, and Sales Automation solutions such as: Salesforce, Oracle + Siebel/NetSuite, SAP CRM, Sugar, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Insightly, Workday, NetSuite, Infor, Sage, ClickSoftware, Astea’s Alliance, Coresystems, Infusionsoft, Chime, etc.Best-in-class Dynamics 365 technical knowledge
• Advanced skills in Visio, Visual Studio, and other integrated development environments and solutioning tools
• Knowledge of related applications, relational database, web technology, and cyber-security
• Knowledge of PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, PowerBI, Dashboards

Desired Skills:
• Deep experience in business apps sales / services / consulting organisation; and proven success leading technical and integration discussions with senior customer decision makers
• Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to solve technical problems
• Ability to be go-to technical expert for sales: explain, demo & prove the capabilities of Dynamics solutions and remove technical and competitive blockers.
• Lead cloud security, privacy, and compliance discussions.
• Understand and articulate Microsoft solution value messaging and present relevant and compelling business case examples to potential customers.
• Coordinate technical team resources for sales opportunities
• Optimize partner engagements in competitive sales cycles.
• Orchestrate cross-workload solutions with TSPs aligned to other Microsoft products and services, such as Azure, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility, and Productivity.
• Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements and competitive intelligence
• Advanced skills creating complex solution designs and Proofs of Concept with other MSFT, partner ISV and third-party applications.
• B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience is required.

Consummate Professional
• Experience. 10+ years of related experience in technical pre-sales and/or technical consulting roles preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Certification in domain-specific technologies preferred.
• Certification in information security preferred
