Job Description

This position is to lead and develop our Technical Team across Greater China.

You will be responsible for leading the technical support team who are supporting our distributors and end users in the region and executing the strategies to lead in our growth. Apart from significant people management and leadership responsibilities, your primary tasks will be to support, educate and train our distributors and customers. You will be expected to travel approximately 50% of the time, with regular domestic travel and occasional international travel. Your role will also include the following tasks:


  • Create pre-sales and technical KPIs to drive the high growth and improve customers partners satisfaction in local market

  • Able to coach, guide, develop and manage the technical support team

  • Able to navigate in a both regional and global organization at the same time = drive things locally but aligned with global technical team.

  • Provide technical support to distributors and end-users

  • Provide robotic application support and consultation to distributors and end-users

  • Develop /Translate technical training curriculums and conducting technical training programs for distributors and end-users

  • Develop distributors’/end users technical knowledge and abilities with regards to Universal Robots and applications

  • Oversee development of local UR+ plug & play ecosystem development

  • Spearhead new application development & support efforts together with global UR team and system integration partners

  • Oversee the team in customer visits, trade shows and seminars


Qualifications:
To gain success in the job it is important that you are outgoing, service-minded and that you can commit at different organizational levels and in different correlations. You should have experience from a support department – preferably with experience within diagnosis and debugging. The job demands that you have documented practical experience within automation – preferably with knowledge of mechanical and electronic products. Furthermore you have experience with technical training and customer visits. To be considered for the job it is vital that you are fluent in English and Mandarin. The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science related subject
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in robotics, automation or related industry
  • At least 8 years of experience in managerial role
  • Experience in creating and managing KPIs to drive the business
  • Experience in CRM to manage the business
  • Experience in designing and integrating robotic applications
  • Experience in conducting seminars/ trainings
  • Excellent computer and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in a high level programming language such as C++/Java/Python (a plus)
  • Prior sales background will be advantageous.
