As a Technical Support Engineer, ABB Drives is a pioneering technology leader, providing products and solutions to help our customers maximize productivity, safety and energy efficiency, with a focus on reducing impact on the environment.

You will be the first and consistent point of contact for customers and business partners of the Drive Products Product Group/ Drives Business Line/ Motion Business in Wuxi/China country/NAS region. Using your customer service skills and knowledge, you will help solve diverse customer inquiries in support of the wider {sales or other function/business} team.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers with drives products
  • Include product training, product selection & field commissioning. Need frequently travel and provide detail travel reports.
  • Drive field quality owner, product failure analyze with PE and report to related person on time as customer interface.
  • Prepare product technical and market material, such as flyer, catalogue and user’s manual, including translation and proofreading.
  • Product database maintenance (C-scot system).
  • Study on specific industry process. Exchange knowledge of application and best practices with global PG team.
  • Share low voltage drives technical information with Product Management, Product Marketing & Sales and Technical Support.

Your background

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Automation Products Support.
  • Experience in low voltage electrical products and power electronics technical support is preferred.
  • Expertise in Customer facing situations is an added advantage.
  • MNC (Multi-national company) or International experience (work or study) is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude and willing to take challenges and encouraging & motivating the whole team to do so.
  • Willingness to travel on business work.
  • Fluent in oral and written Chinese and English.
