Job Description
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating a better tomorrow with us by finding solutions and transforming the everyday. You will have the chance to expand your knowledge of Siemens products, regardless of where you are in your career, whilst developing customer communication skills. Our Technical Support Hub provides world-class support to customers in Great Britain and Ireland using our range of Totally Integrated Automation and Control products. You will have the opportunity for hybrid working, incorporating working from home and in the office. This role is based at our UK Head Quarters in West Didsbury, Manchester with our delicious on-site 'Bee-hive' canteen, free parking and close proximity to tram links! In this role, you will use your skills to move the world forward by providing in person customer demonstrations as well as virtual remote support to our partners and customers. You will apply your knowledge and question techniques to identify, diagnose, and resolve customer issues, and coordinate any issues requiring escalation to Siemens AG Headquarters. Your role will be to enhance the quality of service delivered to Siemens customers. To be considered for this position, you will need to be qualified to NVQ/HND/HNC/Degree level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or have relevant job experience in the Automation discipline. A good understanding of ICT and excellent interpersonal skills are also required. Although experience of Siemens Industrial Automation and Control Products (i.e., SIMATIC, SINAMICS, SIRIUS) is desirable, it is not essential. Any required training will be provided via our in-house SITRAIN training school. Are you ready for a great opportunity?
