Job Description
The Technical Systems Engineer will develop, implement, and support efficient processes and documentation for systems used in the engineering and configuration of Engineered to Order equipment for improved quality, efficiency by reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations. The position could be based in any of the following locations; Arden NC, Fayetteville NC, Sumter SC, or Greenwood SC. Duties/Responsibilities: Collaborates with Product Managers, Developers, Engineers, and Technicians to design and support solutions for intelligent electronic device configuration in manufacturing for Engineered to Order product lines. Designs, documents, and supports work processes to improve operations with configuring Intelligent Electronic Devices using systems like Bid Manager, Design Automation and No Touch Low Touch/Device Configuration Management System. Maintains knowledge of best practices in system design, manufacturing methods, and developments in technology and systems; applies this knowledge to progress the organization’s digital transformation. Identifies and assesses reported problems and departures from established engineering and manufacturing processes for digital device implementation; researches and recommends solutions. Develops and maintains management information, planning, and reporting systems. Implements methods and modifications to improve and scale systems use across ETO product lines in ARS. Ability to provide training, create and maintain knowledge base utilizing the established product lifecycle management tool (Enovia). Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. At least two years of engineering experience required. Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship Ability to travel 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications: Experience working as either a product engineer, business process engineer, or maintenance of line engineer within an engineer to order environment. Experience with automation projects involving several integrated tools and datasets. Past project management and scheduling skillset (projects involving 3 or more cross functional members) C#/SQL scripting experience Position Criteria: Experience with object oriented programming Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of system design and applicable industry standards. Experience in managing integration of digital device hardware solutions. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
