Job Description
Siemens Large Drives is looking for a Technical Warranting Manager for our Norwood, Ohio, facility. In this role you will drive and own all technical aspects of Siemens high & medium voltage motor warranty cases. You will drive technical evaluation of motor failures and conduct trouble shooting and structured problem solving. Own customer communication related to all technical aspects of customer claims. Conduct site visits to assess motor damages. Identify root causes of the problem and guide the timely implementation of corrective measures at customer site in close collaboration with multi-functional partners in the Norwood factory. Identify lessons learned from the warranty cases and communicate the findings across the manufacturing and engineering community. Ensure timely implementation of lessons learned into the motor design and/or manufacturing processes. Requirements: Mechanical Engineering background Ability to conduct rotating equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting Data Analytics experience Track record of structured Problem Solving (Root Cause Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Action, 4D/8D) Communication expert: Ability to explain sophisticated technical findings to customers Technical Writing: Author and present detailed Root Cause Analysis reports to internal and external customers Advanced Project Management skills Networking skills Willingness to travel to customer sites (~10% -20% of time) Nice to have: Electrical Engineering experience Mechanical component / system design experience Six Sigma certification Hands on rotating equipment manufacturing experience Vibration analysis certification (Vibration Institute / Mobius) Tools: NX, Ansys, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or higher At Siemens, we are committed to an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our company’s success.
