Job Responsibility:
Technical Writer (40%)
Create marketing content for China including white paper, app note, blog etc.
Document new feature of software release with related dialogs/commands/images/tutorials and training modules.
Create training materials for internal team, customer and partner including PPT, brochures and related documents
Localize technical articles or marketing documents released by other regions.
Technical Support (30%)
Provide post sales technical support and training for Channel Partner accounts
Provide second level support and training for new Channel Partners, their AM’s and technical staff as needed
Provide general product support via email, phone or user forums
Assist in the development of written materials such as technical notes, knowledge base articles and product training materials
Support service project and system integration development(consulting, testing and implementing)
Establish, maintain and manage internal relationships among Altium Sales, Support teams & R&D
Pre-Sales Support (20%)
Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and seminars
Serve as the technical consultant for large-scale customer proposals
Develop training materials and co-develop sales programs and contents, from a technical perspective
Self Development (build and maintain technical knowledge level) (10%)
Work with early product releases to understand new features and their value
Remain current on key industry issues and trends e.g. through magazine and web articles, white papers, press releases, conference proceedings, trade shows, seminars, tutorials and other methods
Concerned about the competitor's products, understand their strengths
Qualification/requirements:
Outstanding written English
5+ years technical experience. Technical background (Electronics, or similar) is a major advantage.
Knowledge of Altium Designer is a major plus.
Ability to study a feature in software and write in a clear, concise way, how that feature is used.
Experience in a customer support/service environment (preferred)
