Bentley System's Geotechnical Analysis User Success team is involved in transferring knowledge to our Geotechnical (PLAXIS) users to make these users more successful in their job by using our software. We do this by teaching our users in courses, workshops and webinars, offer professional services for mentoring, giving the users direct technical support, and high-end, easy to understand documentation. A direct or indirect contribution is also given to the development of the advanced PLAXIS software products and the fulfilment of client needs. You will be writing and maintaining PLAXIS manuals, other technical documents, publications and blogs.

Your Day To Day:

• The PLAXIS software is known for its user-friendly and intuitive workflow. Nevertheless, comprehensive manuals are written describing the details of the features and backgrounds of the theories used in the software. The PLAXIS manuals consist of a General Introduction, a Tutorial Manual, a Reference Manual, a Material Models Manual and a Scientific Manual.
• Writing (technical) sections of software manuals, reports and other documents, describing features, models, methods, etc. using Plaxis’/Bentley’s text editing, markup and publishing system
• Writing other technical documents, publications and blogs to inform PLAXIS’ users about best modelling practices via our Bentley Communities platform and other modern communication platforms.
• Contributing to learning material such as exercises and presentation material
• Correcting and maintaining (technical) manuals, reports, documents
• Producing final versions of these manuals, reports and documents
• Participating in software progress meeting and Sprint Reviews to identify documentation needs for new and innovative developments.   

What You Bring To The Team:

• MSc in Civil Engineering (preferably Geo-engineering).
• Experience in technical writing in English.
• Strong didactic skills.
• Able to work autonomously.
• Affinity with (geo)technical software for civil engineering applications.
• Basic understanding of soil mechanics is a plus
• Experience in writing software manuals is a plus.
