Job Description

In this position, you will be responsible for documenting Intel software products for performance analysis and libraries. You will get a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the profession of technical writer and communicator in the real working environment. You will be involved in the creation and optimization of the newest software that changes the world around us. You will learn methods, tools, and technologies of modern software documentation development and will be able to put your new knowledge to practice. The documents you will contribute to will be published under one of the most famous brand names and will help thousands of software developers all over the world master the newest Intel products and use them to create state-of-the-art applications.

You will be involved into a challenging but captivating technological process, improve your technical English and expand your knowledge in the sphere of latest software products.In the course of your internship, you will have an opportunity to gain experience in all stages of documentation development: from collecting and analyzing customer requirements and documentation specifications to publishing finalized document in a variety of output formats to be used both on user systems and online.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to developing various end-user technical documentation such as online help, reference manuals, tutorials, user guides, and others for these software products. Authoring environment will include using HTML, XML, PDF, and other formats.


Qualifications

You should be a full-time Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD student in English linguistics, Technical Communications, or other technical/IT fields with excellent English skills.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Excellent English language writing and communication skills, as well as technical aptitude and fast learning abilities;
  • Some knowledge of programming concepts and languages, and basic understanding of computer graphics and techniques would be an added advantage;
  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, Git, usage of stylesheets, templates, and styles would be an added advantage;
  • Ability to work with remote geographies located in different time zones, including US Pacific Coast, and communicate with technical experts and colleagues who are native English speakers.
