• Objective
• Coordination and realization of workshop operations in the field of chassis testing

• Manage external and internal testing for localized chassis parts from start of hardware phase to release phase.

> Assessment of supplier and external labs in terms of their test ability
> Test planning/coordination according to existing Daimler test specifications and development timelines
> Test part organization (scope definition of needed test parts, ordering, receiving and distribution to certain test location)
> Load data organizing/creating/evaluation
> Support of testing activities (externally)
> Ensure in-time testing according to our development milestones (Quality Gates)
> Evaluation of test results according to Daimler test requirements
> Analyse of tested parts (visible check and organisation of professional part analyses)
> Documentation of test results in Daimler documentation tools
> Derivation/definition of component test based on specific requirements
> The term “localized chassis parts” indicates following part groups: Axle, steering, suspension/damping, fuel tank, rim/tire

• Perform chassis tests at Daimler-owned test lab

This may consist mostly of durability tests for chassis sub-components (e.g. struts, damper) and/or complete axle systems (e.g. front, rear). In that respect is a handling of load data and implementation of those requested. Furthermore a guidance of workshop peers, who supports workshop activities like test rig set up modifications and/or test part assembly/disassembly.

• Contribution of requested test results according to given development milestones

> Release of localized chassis parts in terms of durability/function
> Risk evaluation

• Regular review of Daimler test methods with specific market demands in China.

In case of need test adjustments in agreement with RD GER (HQ) in order to keep Daimler test standards up to date

• Cooperation with other cross-functional departments (e.g. quality, purchase, logistics)

• Qualification
• Education

University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering

• Experience

First practically experiences in automotive industry and measuring technologies for automotive testing would be beneficial (workshop level)
