The Emissions Test Lab Technician prepares vehicles and performs emission tests. He/She assists in the maintenance and the calibration of the test equipment. The technician is responsible for preparing vehicles to be tested on dynamometer test beds which includes removing parts from the vehicle, draining fluids including gas or diesel fuel, filling fluids as described in the order, reading fault memories, and checking the car for potential problems.

The Emissions Test Lab Technician will be expected to perform at the highest level of professionalism and quality to complete tests for COP purposes being performed on new cars which are intended for sale. The Technician will have to perform necessary repairs on cars to highest standards. Repairs include problem investigation and therefore a complete knowledge of all emission relevant systems in the car. He/She will also conduct check-in and check-out procedures to ensure highest level of quality on these production cars.

• Associate's Degree in Automotive or Electronics studies or Technical Vocational Degree with certification in automotive or electronics
• 5 years automotive technician experience
• Proficient using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to operate forklift, Stringo
• General office skills
