Position Description: This role as a Technology Architect: DevOps requires hands-on engineering skills to develop solutions using IOT Cloud technologies in a programming language appropriate for solving the problem and delivering immutable infrastructure. The role also requires engineers to be responsible for the implementation of DevOps practices like treat infrastructure as code, test- driven development, automated test, and pipelines. The role requires engineers to work with team members located locally or globally to share knowledge of automation and deployment. He will also participate in discussions with other engineers on design, architecture, and cloud solutions to better solve the Business and Customer problems. #### Position Requirements: Responsibilities • Work with Application Development, Solution Security, Infrastructure Provisioning, and service team to provide fully automated build and deployment routines for development, staging, and production environments to deliver quality software solutions. • Work with the Project/Solution Manager and Solution Architect to develop project CI/CD, deployment plans; identify development and project risks and collaborates on mitigation strategies. • Responsible for implementing and driving best practices for enterprise deployments and software development life-cycle automation. • Automating IoT solutions deployment processes, customization, upgrades, and monitoring of all the active services. • Developing effective dashboards, alerts to identify and address risks. • Understanding of complex IoT projects involving the device, edge, and cloud, working closely with the local team and global team towards a solution. • Learn and use innovative technologies/software to automate, deploy, and manage the IoT solutions and environments deployed in Private clouds and public clouds like AWS, Azure, etc. • Troubleshoot application build, deployments, recreate customer issues, build a proof of concept applications. • Monitor software releases and work collaboratively with the software engineering team to develop/deploy IoT solutions. • Document and create blueprints for solutions deployments that are shared with partners and customers Skills • 10+ years of experience in Build, CI/CD, and DevOps implementations. • 5+ years’ experience in Agile practices • Strong hands-on experience in writing automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell. • Experience with AWS technologies stack like Route 53, CloudFront, AWS API Gateway, load balancer, cloud watch, ECS, ECR, Fargate, VPC, Code Pipeline, etc. • Experience maintaining internet facing production-grade applications in virtualized environments. • Experience in DevOps automation along with CI, Delivery, and CD pipeline in large scale distributed systems of On-Premise & Cloud. • Experience working with scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms). • Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins). • Understanding of open source server software (such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, MYSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Prometheus). • Experience in Container management using Docker engine by writing Docker files/Docker Compose and DTR and set up the automated build on Docker Swarm & kubernetes. • Exposure to Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services. • Experienced in DevOps tools like JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Maven, Nexus, Docker, Chef, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc. • Good understanding of concepts like Iaas, PaaS, SaaS, etc relevant design experience is an added advantage. • Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP). • Understanding of security in cloud solutions (API security, HTTPS, TLS, etc) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
