Technology & Development director is responsible of leading top-level performance related and technical issues within the unit. Role description is wide in order to facilitate involvement in various and cross-functional activities as well as customer communication.

Your responsibilities

• Initiates and manages top level (cross-functional) operation excellence, performance and other related development projects.
• Supports and oversees quality in everyday operations, such as production, suppliers, inspections, testing and site activities.
• Provides Predictive Production Cost (PPC) calculation for sales when requested
• Ensures production slot reservation and confirmation for sales projects
• Leads and facilitates new product types into production
• • Performs regular reviews and constant follow up of SCM, production, project execution and QEHS processes and performance indicators (PI). Initiates actions in case PI targets are not achieved.
• Performs regular production and site safety observation tours with feedback and actions
• Approves completed product for delivery readiness
• Trains and coaches local engineering in day-to-day business cases and supports communications to Finland

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering
• Excellent communication skills with a continuous improvement and results-oriented approach
• Fluent in English and ability to well present both internally & externally
• Good knowledge of Azipod® product is mandatory, preferably on Compact Azipod®
