Job Description

The Technology Program Manager for our LED Lamp product line will have ownership over product design. They will lead design team members including mechanical and electronic engineers. They will be responsible for designing the tollgates of the New Production Introduction (NPI) program, ensuring the product is at the right costs and control the program budget and schedule. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with passion and energy and have strong personal values such as integrity, customer centricity and commitment to performance.

The Technology Program Manager will:

•    Own Product Technical Specification (PTS) per marketing interest and customer voice. 
•    Ensure products are compliant with required and applicable international standards and regulations.
•    Work with suppliers with regards to quotations, tooling cut, cost, testing results, schedule etc.
•    Collaborate cross functionally with product managers, system, quality and sourcing teams to define product road map, performances, validation/test plan
•    Host conference call with different locations on technical discussions
•    Deal with Product and Service Offer cases when needed.
•    Use statistical tools to analyze the experiment results and execute the action plans
 

Qualifications

Required:
•    BS degree in Mechanical/Electric/Electronic
•    5+ years relevant experience
•    Familiar with domestic and international regulations/standards on Lighting systems, e.g. GB, IEC and UL;
•    Strong oral and verbal communication skills
•    Available to take calls outside of normal business hours to accommodate globally located teams
•    Flexible to domestic travel, 10-20%.

Preferred
•    Master’s Degree
•    Direct experience in Lighting
•    Knowledge in lighting applications and photometry standard
•    Capable of using 3D modeling software like Solid works; experience with product life cycle management software;
•    Knowledge in LED, thermal management, optics or power electronics
