Job Description
Position Description:

The TS is a member of the Academic & Administrative Teams who reports directly to the Elementary Academic Head. The TS develops and implements school-wide instructional technology education for the teachers, and administrative staff. The TS manages and optimizes the instructional software and network resources to provide maximum productivity in all aspects of the school. As a member of the teaching staff, the TS develops a curriculum of student technology in consultation with the Academic Head and Curriculum Development Coordinator and which supports and enhances the present classroom curriculum.

Responsibilities:

Using PCR; create all school timetables by June 17th for the upcoming school year, including the lunch supervision scheduling.
Maintain and update those timetables periodically, considering the changes required for Special events such as Winter Show and sports activities.
Using PCR, assist in the creation and maintenance of the School Report Card system.
Attend weekly planning meetings with teachers to devise the use of technology within their lesson plans.
Create lessons plans, which will the support the teachers’ needs and which will then become a part of the TS lessons with the students.
Creates a working space within the respective classrooms to support the curriculum of student technology.
Develop an IT curriculum for levels of 1-6 alongside the Academic Head and Curriculum Development Coordinator.
Train teachers to recognize and teach what kinds of software packages enable their students to accomplish particular tasks and how these applications can support their work for special events such as the culture and Science Fair and as required by teachers.
Instruct teachers on how to use emerging technologies and PCR as it evolves within the Academic Department.
Provide workshops on technology integration once a month for classroom applications.
Be a resource for teachers to call upon for technology integration needs.
Collaborate with the Library staff to ensure that the infrastructure and technical resources are available to carry out technology initiatives within the library. 
Works with technical support to maintain an inventory of software, hardware, and supplies assigned to the building; maintains an inventory of all software purchased and licensed to the school building.
Ensure and maintain all students’ usernames and passwords for all programs utilized for school related assignments.
Ensure all students follow the Internet safety rules and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and procedures.
Continuously maintain and organize the computer environments for safety of our students and assurance of proper maintenance of equipment.
Liaise regularly with the PCR support manager in Virginia regularly regarding the Academic applications of this system.
