This is a commissioned sales position located in Mexico City area responsible for technically evangelizing and winning the network architectures and LTE/5G RAN initiatives at Telecommunications companies in Latin America, driving technical discussions with the customer by offering compelling and cohesive technical solutions based on Intel products and platforms related with RAN technologies. Industry segment expertise and knowledge of Comms Service Provider and Telco business are required.
The primary engagement is at an early stage of an end-user project cycle or an OEM design cycle and supports the efforts of the direct or indirect sales team. This position builds relationships with key account executives and becomes their technology adviser through understanding their business and technical problems, and demonstrating how these can be solved through the use of Intel-based products and solutions.
Additionally, this position leads the technical pre-sales phase engaging with the end customer or the OEM technical leaders to drive awareness and early adoption of new Intel technologies, platforms, and products; provides training for the Technical Sales Force of fellow travelers (MNCs, OEMs, ISVs, SIs, etc.) who call on Telecommunications companies in Latin America such as America Movil, Telefonica, Telcom Italia on latest IA Technologies to scale Intel's technical messaging; creates excitement and demonstrates the value of the new technology through technical conferences and presentations, and may be involved with collaborative project work for trials or proof of concepts.
The ITS (Industry Technical Specialist) should:
- Build strong, direct relationships with senior technical contacts, comprehending Intel architectures and fellow traveler solution offerings targeted at service provider infrastructure, and strongly positioning self and Intel as the trusted adviser in solving challenging technical and business problems.
- This person must also be self-motivated, and self-sufficient to stay current on emerging industry trends, technologies, and issues.

- The candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills, to respond to carrier RFI/RFPs.
- Must be comfortable working at senior levels within Intel and with service providers.
- Good to identify and drive customer requirements and market needs into product plans and programs.

- Describes complex technology solutions in business terms and demonstrate business value to customers
- Articulates Intel's hardware, software, and solutions strategies and roadmap.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field OR equivalent experience 4 years, in addition to:
- 6+ years of experience
- 1+ years of experience with:
- Emerging RAN technology and evolving specifications
- 5G / 4G 3GPP spec, disaggregated RAN architecture (CU, DU)
- SDN, NFV, VNF concepts
- Fundamental understanding of Intel Platform Technologies such as FlexRAN, Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK), Quick Assist Technology (QAT), or Cloud RAN / O-RAN solutions
- Advanced English/Spanish
The following preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Intermediate Portuguese
- Working knowledge of SP Infrastructure networks (Access, Core, Transport) and associated network elements Switches, Routers, Media Gateway, BRAS/GGSN, Security Gateways and their architecture (hardware, software, firmware)
- Working knowledge of Telco OSS/BSS architectures and Operational processes (FCAPS, NMS, EMS) and associated standards (TM Forum, ITU-T)

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
