Position Summary 

 

The legal department provides assistance to the business operations of the Bentley International Operating Unit on matters ranging from contract negotiation, to IP enforcement, to strategic acquisitions.  The Junior Lawyer will report to the  Associate Counsel in Brazil and work as part of the global Bentley legal department.  

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Organizing and ensuring compliance with local rules and regulations in respect of tender documentation in Brazil, Spain and Italy.
  • Purchase order/sales document review, contract review, contract drafting and ensuring that terms conform to legal and business requirements and Company policies. 
  • Drafting of correspondence and other legal documents. 
  • Assisting company lawyers in the review and production of public tender documentation. 
  • Providing general administrative support for department lawyers and Contract Negotiators. 
  • Assisting in additional substantive legal issues, as required. 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities 

 

  • Working experience as a junior lawyer. 
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication and drafting/writing skills. 
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented. 
  • Ability to exercise judgement within defined practices and policies. 
  • Ability to work closely with legal colleagues, sales staff and management, customers, finance, administration and other internal departments.
