Job Description
Experienced school inspectors are needed for 3-8 week inspection contracts in Dubai to inspect private schools across the country. The per diem rate is 2,178 AED for days worked.
NOTE: Applicants must have the ability to commit to 3-8 week duration visits to Dubai during term time. Successful applicants will be put on a register and contacted when inspections are needed that cannot be carried out by full time inspectors.
***Minimum requirements (must be demonstrated on CV)***
- Masters degree or post-Bachelor’s degree+ teacher certification/qualfied teacher status
- Experience as a teacher and school leader for at least 5 years in a regular school setting in one of the Curricula of interest – US Common Core, UK or IB
- Experience as a Superintendent of schools (USA candidates) OR as a whole school inspector /accreditor such as OFSTED, CIE, WASC, etc with at least 5 external (eg not your own school) school accreditations/inspections completed. Important note: It is not enough to have participated in your own school's accreditation/inspection, you must have inspected/accredited a significant number of other schools.
- Under 58 years of age at the start of contract (this is a visa requirement)
- Excellent writing and technology skills, teamwork and collaboration
- Ideally: Subject expertise (3 years of regular class teaching experience) in at least one of the following Key Subject Areas:
o Arabic and Arabic as an Additional Language
o English/ EAL/ EFL and Literacy
o Islamic Studies
o Mathematics
o Science
o Early Years
