Key Responsibilities

1. Perform and supervise the medication-use process.

2. Direct the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services.

3. Plan, develop and deliver educational/training and development programs for pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.

4. Assist the Department Manager in the development and operation of pharmaceutical service.

Entry Requirements

1. A Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Hong Kong.

2. 4 years’ post-registration experience as a pharmacist # or 2 years’ post-registration experience as a pharmacist# plus a relevant postgraduate professional degree or equivalent.

# Experience acquired as a pharmacist after registration with recognised overseas registration authorities but prior to registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong can also be accepted as post-registration experience. 

Preferred Attributes / Exposure

1. A relevant postgraduate professional degree or equivalent.

2. Experience as a hospital pharmacist.

3. Good communication skills.

4. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.

5. Knowledge in computer systems.

6. Evidence of recent continuous professional development.

Remarks

1. Suitable candidate will be appointed on temporary terms up to 31.3.2021.

2. The selected candidate will be posted to Kowloon Hospital and may be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.

3. Required to work shifts or perform on-call duties.

4. The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance.
