As a Payroll Processor, your responsibilities will include:
Perform audits for the payroll, third party and terminations payments based on operation's needs (second level, first level as back up or during peaks)
Apply right size controls to the dynamic payroll operation activities, this includes but it not limited to validations, audits, sample check, recalculations, total revision, peer control and similar
Identify trends based on payroll results and propose and partner with peers and Program Office to implement solutions to close any gaps or to improve the cycle through-put-time
Act as the final control point prior to the payroll and payments release to ensure accuracy and compliance
Be proficient in systems, compliance and control procedures and familiar with external audit coordination
Check all LAR Payroll tracking (exceptions, terminations, manual vacation, others) and sharepoints (back up documentation for terminations, proof of third party payments, others) are up to date.
Responds to inquiries from employees regarding salary deductions and changes in compensation.
Act as first contact for operational requests for Payroll Administrators.
Monitor urgent emails and inform Payroll Administrator and/or Coordinator
Act as Planner for any of the 40 LAR payroll critical processes (i.e. 13th Salary/Christmas Bonuses, Profit Sharing, SPP and others)
Lead and promote an environment of trust and teamwork
Approve documentation simple changes and own Business Process Management processes. Ensure documentation is up to date in repository.
Assign quality incidents, review trends and ensure systemic fixes at regional level
Participate and/or lead in Governance Teams and Service Line efforts

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Systems or similar
1+ years of payroll experience
Intermediate knowledge of Business Process Management and LEAN
Advanced English
Must have permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.
Preferred Qualifications:
Workday knowledge and automation experience
Experience with Payroll processes across the Latin America region

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
