Job Description

The Job

Summary:

Reporting to Manager (Enforcement), the appointee will assist in conducting legal research relating to the legislative amendment exercise of the MPF legislation and related matters, including amendments relating to the set up and operation of the eMPF platform. The appointee will also provide support in the investigation and enforcement of suspected non-compliance cases relating to MPF trustees and their service providers.

  • To assist in conducting legal research relating to the legislative amendment exercise of the MPF regulation and related matters;
  • To provide support in the review of the enforcement approach and regulatory framework in the MPF system in connection with the legislative amendment exercise appropriate regulatory framework of the MPF System;
  • To provide support relating to investigations concerning MPFA approved trustees, such as preparing case reports, drafting enquiry letters and assessing breach cases;
  • To provide administrative support to the Division; and
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the management.

 

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably majoring in law, regulatory compliance or equivalent;
  • Preferably with one or two years of relevant experience in legal research, compliance, law enforcement or public administration, preferably gained from sizable or public organisations;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Proficiency in computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills; and
  • Mature, flexible, a good team player and able to work independently as well as under pressure.

 

Fresh graduates will also be considered.

 

Remuneration Package

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and relevant experience. The appointment will be made on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
