Job Description

Summary:

Our client, a large-scale and renowned Chinese Bank, is hiring a Temporary Operations Clerk to join their Operations Division in Kowloon Region office. This is a Banking Role in which a great multi-cultural experience will be gained. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for cheque clearing and autopay related tasks including inward and outward cheque, payroll instruction, direct debit authorisation, standing instruction and faster payment
  • Handle enquiries in relation to cheque clearing and autopay from internal customers.
  • Maintain high quality and adequate risk control and deliver good quality of customer service.
  • Adhere and comply with the rules, guidelines and regulatory requirement of the Bank, HKMA, HKAB, etc. pertaining to the operations
  • Escalate exceptional / outstanding / suspicious transactions to section manager and other relevant parties for necessary action per Policy & Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in banking industry with 1 year experience in inward and outward cheque clearing and autofund transfer
  • Self-motivated and attentive to details
  • Well-versed in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Conversant with MS Office applications and Chinese Word Processing
  • Require to work from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to support outward cheque clearing operation
  • Able to work under pressure and willing to work overtime when required
