From September 2019 to January 2020

(a)

To perform teaching duties and assist in fieldwork placement;

(b)

To assist in student and academic administration;

(c)

To assist in updating and developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;

(d)

To participate in departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and

(e)

To plan and coordinate language enhancement activities.

(a)

(i)

A recognized degree in Chinese Language / Chinese Language and Literature / Language Studies (Chinese) / Chinese Linguistics / Education (Chinese); OR

(ii)

A recognized degree in Translation / Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language. A transcript with course details should be provided for consideration;

(b)

(i)

Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; OR

(ii)

A pass in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) or equivalent;

(c)

Very good communication, interpersonal, organizing and administrative skills;

(d)

Good problem solving and time management skills;

(e)

A good team player, able to work on own initiative and willing to meet challenges; and

(f)

Preference will be given to candidates who possess post-graduate qualifications.

Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend a written test.
