Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Ethnographic Research of Community Health and Well Being among City Runners” (Project Reference No.: KS2019/01). He/she shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • providing assistance in literature review, qualitative data collection, data analysis and related research activities; and
  • may be required to work on evenings and/or weekends.

 

Requirements

Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

 

  • A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree, in Anthropology, Sociology, Media Studies, Sports Science, Health Communication, Cultural Studies, Creative Arts or a related discipline;
  • Experience in conducting qualitative research;
  • Knowledge of ethnographic and netnographic studies;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and pay attention to details;
  • A good command of English and Cantonese; and
  • Interest in running and other sports activities an advantage.

 

Compensation Package

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract (Five-month contract commencing from late July or August 2020). Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
