Temporary Research Assistant
Department of Political Science

We are seeking to employ two Research Assistants with a background in either political science or political sociology to work on a six-month research project about contentious politics in Hong Kong. Appointees will be mainly responsible for data collection and coding, interview/survey coordination, literature review, and data analysis.
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor or a master’s degree in political science, public policy, sociology, communication or related field, as well as the passion to conduct academic research and writing. Proficiency in Chinese and English is expected. Experiences of using statistical and programming software (e.g. R, Python and SPSS) will be an advantage.

Salary and Benefits
Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, and mandatory provident fund.
The appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for 6 months.
