Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project – “Developing Digital Advertising Ontology to Reveal the Power and User Resistance of Digital Media for the Creation of One-way, Two-way, and Customer-driven Business Communications”. He/she shall mainly be responsible for the followings:

• assisting in developing theoretical framework and fine-tuning research method; and
• performing any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. 

Requirements

Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• a recognized doctorate or master’s degree holder in Communication, Media Studies, Advertising, Marketing or in a related field; and
• good command of English as well as effective communication and organization skills. 

Preference will be given to those with:

• a good understanding of the constituents of digital advertising;
• a good understanding of communication theories such as the network theory of power; and
• professional knowledge of qualitative research methods including case study method and content analysis. 

Compensation Package

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
