The Department of Computing and Decision Sciences (https://cptra.ln.edu.hk) is one of the five departments in the Faculty of Business that contribute to the undergraduate programme of Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) degree. The Department hosts the LEO Dr David P. Chan Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science programme and runs a Master of Science Programme in eBusiness and Supply Chain Management. 

The appointee will be assigned to teaching development/research project(s), and be responsible for (a) preparing course materials related to data science for teaching innovations; (b) collecting data for teaching innovations; (c) conducting literature reviews/data analysis for teaching innovations and data science research; (d) facilitating the general administrative work; (e) performing any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator of the assigned project(s).

Requirements

Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Education Technology, Education or relevant discipline in recent years. Ideally, the applicants would have project experience in conducting teaching innovation in classroom settings and/or research experience in data science projects. Applicants shall provide information about their work experience, qualifications, research interests and achievements. Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.  

Salary and Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months.
