Due to continued growth in the organisation, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Tender & Project Planner to join our Siemens Mobility PMO Team to work on Rail Systems Tenders and Projects. Based in our Docklands offices in Melbourne, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an area of the Siemens business that has immense market potential. We are looking for an exceptional individual with diverse range of planning experience.
Key responsibilities:
· Support the Tender Team in preparation of various Tender Schedules
· Provide post-handover support to delivery Team for project start up
· Develop and maintain the Signalling, Train Control and Rail Electrification Tender & Project Schedules in Primavera P6
· Close interaction with the project management and engineering teams to gain regular inputs, reviews and updates.
· Manage cost and resource loading in P6
· Assist Project Managers with the variations/claims and justifications using baseline functionality and schedules.
· Critical Path Analysis and incorporation of scope changes and updates into the schedules.
· Attend engineering and site meetings and keep record of the minutes for the purpose of schedule update.
· Preparing Baseline schedule for each project and work with client to have the Baseline approved.
· Develop Executive Summary schedules for the Project Managers and Management
· Prepare and implement different ‘what if’ scenarios and run a comparison between them.
· Interact with Project team to ensure the program meetings all contractual requirements.
· Interact with other P6 Planners / Schedulers around the country where required.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following:
• A Minimum of 5+ years multi discipline project planning experience
• Competence and experience of using Primavera P6 including planning, cost and resource loading
• Demonstrated planning experience working in sales / tender environment and delivering project control deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience working together with project control sub-functions, cost, progress and change management
• Advanced capabilities utilizing a range of computer packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Exposure to Rail and Infrastructure works will be highly regarded.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and love to be challenged
