As a Tender Specialist you will be responsible for creating and completing pre-qualification, budgetary/firm proposal based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve on-time and qualified proposals, in Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China.

Reporting to the Technical Sales Support Manager, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

• Formulating pre-qualification, budgetary/firm proposals, taking into account best available qualification documents and appropriate commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate tech. & commercial proposals
• Managing the preparation of all tendering proposal (e.g. developing proposal structure, defining the most suitable contents(s)), documentations (e.g. business qualifications, total price, tech. spec. certifications etc.) and if necessary project management (e.g. quantifies hours of engineering and commissioning) aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions
• Interfacing with the Region Sales teams to develop commercial strategies and solutions that will meet customer requirements as well as meeting or exceeding business goals
• Regularly reporting the status of the bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and collecting the reasons for tenders being lost and won
• Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Providing information and/or participating in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy
• Being responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both commercial and qualifications

Your background

• 3 years of working experience in related field
• Familiar with tendering process, better in Electric industry
• Knowledge in working on computer
• A bachelor’s degree or above
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills expected
• Must have good team-work spirit
• Fluency in English is preferred
