MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To manage the Tenders & Contracts function and provide commercial support and advice to the sales teams and management, whilst ensuring all business processes are compliant, structured and efficient.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

•           The Tenders & Contracts Specialist is a key business partner that enables the business demands to be met in a fully compliant, effective and efficient manner.

•           To manage all Tender and Contract knowledge to ensure there is a market picture readily available.

•           To be a permanent advisor to sales, marketing and general management in relation to all price offerings.

•           To ensure all price offerings are submitted on time and are of a high quality.

•           Represents Abbott Vascular in interactions with KOL's and other stakeholders.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Planning

•           Utilize the Tender Calendar to ensure a current picture of the Tender status is readily available and that all tender requirements, information and actions are fulfilled on a timely basis.

•           Hold periodic meetings with the commercial team to discuss any Tender & Contract issues, tender pricing, contract commitment performance, tender status and any other relevant items.

Advisory / Accuracy

•           Review all Tender / Framework documents to ensure Abbott Vascular is aware of any legal obligations. Proactively discuss any potential issues which may arise from this with the Sales Managers and Finance to ensure there are no risks.

•           Review all Tenders / Framework / Quotation documents to ensure Abbott Vascular is in compliance of OEC policies and competition law.

•           Be an advisor to the group on up-to-date Compliance I Competition issues - what is allowed / not allowed.

•           Prepare and Submit all Tenders on time.  Ensure all tender documents are reviewed for accuracy prior to submission.

•           Review Quotation as appropriate to ensure accuracy.

•           Review prices on system to ensure accuracy.

•           To comply with the company's policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy, objectives and service standards of Abbott Medical.

Commercial

•           Review price proposals with sales managers - ensure our offerings are compliant and system compatible.

•           Bring new ideas to the table / Challenge the status quo for commercial offerings.

Administrative

•           Ensure most current certificates, product catalogues, product codes etc. are being used.

•           Ensure current procurement details are readily available.

•            Add all quotations and agreed tender awards into XIAM ensuring all approvals are             included. Check the accuracy of SAP to ensure pricing is transferred accurately to

customer invoices.

BACKGROUND / EDUCATION

•           University degree preferred.

•           Speaks a fluent Nordic language and is able to present in English to senior management and external stakeholders.

•           Confident communicator - able to develop good relationships easily with the credibility to challenge management.

•           Previous experience in a commercial environment is an advantage.

•           Previous experience from the healthcare sector is an advantage.

•            Having a good understanding of the procurement process and EU Procurement Regulations within the Nordics is preferred

•           Excellent system skills and appreciation – Business Objects Power-BI and SAP data warehouse preferred but not essential.

•           High caliber individual – ambitious and driven to achieve excellent standards and to continually seek to improve processes.
