| Major Duties : |
| (a) | To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects; |
| (b) | To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
| (c) | To assist in updating and developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and |
| (d) | To participate in campus projects and functions of the Language Centre where necessary. |
| |
| Requirements : |
| (a) | (i) | A recognized degree in Chinese Language / Chinese Language and Literature / Language Studies (Chinese) / Chinese Linguistics / Education (Chinese); OR |
| | (ii) | A recognized degree in Translation / Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language. A transcript with course details should be provided for consideration; and |
(b)
| (i) | Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; OR |
| | (ii) | A pass in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA), or equivalent; |
| (c) | Preferably with relevant teaching and / or industrial experience; |
| (d) | Good communication and presentation skills; |
| (e) | Good problem solving and time management skills; and |
| (f) | A good team player, able to work on own initiative and willing to meet challenges. |

| Notes : |
| (1) | Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a written test. |
| (2) | In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
| (3) | The appointee is subject to posting in different sites to suit the Council’s operational need. |
