The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 21 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2020/21 academic year, ten programmes will be included in the HKSAR Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $42,800 to $74,600 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project. He/she will be required to collect general information, conduct literature review, conduct biological analysis of antibiotic resistance bacteria and their resistance genes, analyse data, write the technical report and academic papers, and perform other research duties as assigned by the PI.

Requirements:
Applicants should have a sub-degree, preferably a recognised degree, in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology or relevant disciplines, or equivalent level of study. Those with experience in conducting biological analysis of antibiotic resistant bacteria and their resistance genes would have an advantage.

Notes:
(1) Candidates may be appointed on temporary or part-time employment.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work on Tsing Yi Campus.
