School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE)

The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree and master’s degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree and degree holders in collaboration with both local and overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the part-time Lecturer post for the programme of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours) offered at SHAPE (Tsing Yi) in the academic year 2019/20. Major Duties:
(a) To assist in carrying out laboratory duties at bachelor degree level, including students' projects, laboratories and field works;
(b) To assist in reviewing and preparing teaching and learning packages for laboratories with both international and local contexts and practices;
(c) To carry out administration duties and attend meetings in relation to student and academic administration; and
(d) To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.

Requirements:
(a) A recognized degree in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent professional qualification;
(b) Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills; and
(c) Strong communication and presentation skills and writing skills in both English and Chinese.

Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
(2) Immediate availability is preferred.
(3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours.
