The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 22 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2019/20, twelve programmes are in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,700 to $72,800 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee is expected to assist the PI in the planning, development and co-ordination of seminars, research activities and daily operations of the project, including contacting speakers, arranging logistic and supporting work of the seminars. He/she will be required to conduct field studies and data analysis; assist in drafting research proposals for external funding; and perform other research duties as assigned by the PI.

Requirements:
For the post of Term / Temporary / Part-time Research Assistant I, applicants should have a Master’s degree in Horticulture, Forestry, Biology, Geography, Environmental Science or related fields; or a recognized degree in relevant disciplines with relevant work experience.

For the post of Term / Temporary / Part-time Research Assistant II, applicants should have a sub-degree in in Horticulture, Forestry, Biology, Geography, Environmental Science or related fields; or equivalent level of study.

Good organisation and interpersonal skills and the ability to use library resources effectively will be an advantage. Fresh graduates of Master’s and Bachelor’s degree will also be considered.

Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
