| Major Duties: |
| (a) | To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
| (b) | To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
| (c) | To assist in updating and developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
| (d) | To participate in departmental projects and function, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and |
| (e) | To organize language enhancement activities. |

| Requirements: |
| (a) | (i) | A recognized degree in Chinese Language / Chinese Language and Literature / Language Studies (Chinese) / Chinese Linguistics / Education (Chinese); OR |
| | (ii) | A recognized degree in Translation / Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language. A transcript with course details should be provided for consideration; and |
| (b) | (i) | Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; OR |
| | (ii) | a pass in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) or equivalent. |
| (c) | Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
| (d) | Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
| (e) | Good problem solving and time management skills; and |
| (f) | A good team player, able to work on own initiative and willing to meet challenges. |
