Job summary
Primary job responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide sales initiatives, partner programs, and marketing events to achieve a final revenue target; take responsibility for account strategy, demand generation activities, carry out plans, etc.
- Make extensive use of prospecting techniques to generate customer interest and provide a targeted value proposition
- Research marketing goals and objectives, supported hardware platforms, marketing and business trends, and industry knowledge to assess account needs and develop sales opportunities
- Implement aspects of territory and account management and development, including qualifying, forecasting, and pipeline management of sales opportunities within your account territory
- Negotiate and guide deals through contract negotiations and signing
- Close software sales and achieve assigned software revenue targets
Required skills
- 12+ years of experience in the IT industry
- Bachelor's degree; MBA degree is a plus
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel as business needs dictate
- Ability to work remotely
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and learn on your own
- Ability to work as part of a fun and exciting team
- Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels within an organization
- Proven record of sales achievement
- Knowledge of sales techniques and tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC), Challenger, or HubSpot is a plus
