Job Description

General Summary

Conduct existing distributor and customer management, and develop new business related to digital printing market. Responsible as Sales Manager of the assigned market segement, including activities on routine sales operation, distribution management, new business opportunities development, portfolio management, market assessment and etc.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Grow:

  • Strong technical sales capability for developing new business in digital printing market segment. Manage key distributors to aggressively grow the business and understand the end market situation and evolvement. Deep understanding printing and packaging market, and good ability to devolop new opportunities through the value chain with good sense of business and value selling concept.

Financial Objectives, Business Plans and Budget:

  • Result driven, sales number commitment, work with Great China Sales Manager to plan and develop strategic direction of sales efforts, inventory management, invoicing, forecasting and special pricing and volume discounts to ensure customer needs are met. Know how to convert opportunity to real business with good planning.


Customer Relationships:

  • Proactive and active interaction with customers to build customer intermacy, well understand customer needs; Good knowledge of key account management, good account planning and budgeting.


Account Management:

  • Recognize the opportunity within each account and determine frequency of account visits. Understand each project’s objective and the account’s ability to commercialize new projects. Assure win/win for key people within each account is established and met.


Agents and Distributor Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison between Michelman and any Agents/Distributors in the Territory. Responsible for coordinating, prioritlzing, and managing all Agent & Distributor activities including keeping the Agents & Distributors motivated to sell Michelman products. Also responsible for ensuring Agent & Distributor adherence to Michelman’s reporting requirements. Ability to develop new channel based on company strategy;


Marketing:

  • Has strategic thinking, knows market trends, value chain, product value proposition, competitive products and pricing. Determine and justify the appropriate way to segment and reach the market and quantity the market potential. Conduct promotional work to sell and develop new and existing business accounts.


Critical Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good time management and execution

  • Familiar with digital printing business, paper/film manufacturing would be preferred

  • Ability to collaborate with external and internal global teams

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills

  • Technical expertise in printing package is preferred

  • Experience in managing distribution channels

  • Fluent in oral and written English


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 6~8 years work experiences in printing&package industry


Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Able to work independently from home office

  • Able to travel by car and plane to visit a diverse, regional base of customers (Approximately up to 50% travel)
