About Our Team The Manufacturing Test Strategy and Automation team based in Morrisville NC is responsible for delivering a test platform and test solutions to support Lenovo Server, Storage and Networking products. As our product portfolio evolves and grows into new strategic areas, we have an opening for a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Test Automation Engineer to support product manufacturing by providing test solutions and utilities that enable automation and monitoring of the manufacturing test process. What You'll Do A CSP Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the definition, development and management of common test code and utilities that are incorporated into the test process for Hyperscale servers(L10) and rack(L11) products manufactured by Lenovo. Job duties include: designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining processes and code for automating the manufacturing test process. In addition to developing solutions, the test automation engineer will be responsible for integrating these solutions into the test platform application as common code modules. The test platform allows operators to monitor the test process, detect and debug failures, and interact with systems as they are being tested. The CSP Test Automation Engineer will also work with Hardware and Software Development Engineers and external partners to build custom processes as required. Tactically, the CSP Test Automation Engineer must be ready to react to any issues as they arise and support the worldwide manufacturing sites. Strategically, the expectation is that the successful candidate will be constantly looking for ways to optimize and improve the overall process for manufacturing efficiency. Lenovo has manufacturing facilities in China, Hungary, Mexico and Brazil and the expectation is that travel to some of these sites would be required as part of this role. #### Position Requirements: Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc) or technical discipline • Experience in writing test cases for product hardware • Scripting experience with Python (3.x preferred), Java and Rest API • Experience with code versioning and tracking systems (CVS, git, SVN) • Experience with server products and peripheral HW • Experience with manufacturing test process development and deployment Preferred Qualifications • Self-motivated team player • Able to apply engineering concepts • Effective communicator • Experience with root cause analysis & problem resolution • Travel to manufacturing and customer sites is expected Why Lenovo?
