The Automotive Infotainment, Processing, and Connectivity (IPC) Group is looking for a Product and Test Engineer to lead post-silicon IC development for groundbreaking semiconductor IC products. These include the Automotive Audio Bus (A2B) family and other connectivity IC products. You will be joining a team with a track record of success in meeting industry expectations for quality and performance.
The Product and Test Engineer will lead the planning and implementation of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test development and related product development strategies to ensure customer quality requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate as a functional leader in a multi-disciplined engineering team in solving engineering product development challenges.
- Collaborate with other functional groups including Design, Applications, Systems Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the Product and Test Engineering (PTE) product development team.
- Lead the creation of product development schedules and planning of resources from product tapeout to Release to Production.
- Guide the PTE team's validation and debug of new Integrated Circuit (IC) products.
- Lead the test strategy and develop innovative solutions to meet customer quality expectations.
- Specify Design for Test (DFT) features in collaboration with the Design team during new product development.
- Develop advanced IC package solutions.
- Develop digital and mixed-signal functional and parametric tests for new products using leading edge Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Simulate Verilog test cases and translate waveforms to ATE for IC debug and manufacturing test.
- Plan and implement automation strategies for electrical characterization.
- Become proficient in all aspects of IC functionality, including internal circuit operation of the device and board level system/circuit interface details.
- Design and release hardware for characterization and volume manufacturing test.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Reliability to ensure successful product introduction and volume ramp.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- BSEE and 5 yrs IC test development experience
- In-depth knowledge of IC digital and analog test principles, especially scan, BIST, parametric, and functional testing
- Experience developing and debugging tests on Advantest, Teradyne, or similar ATE
- Experience developing digital DC and AC characterization tests for ATE
- Experience performing parametric measurement and characterization on the ATE
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Experience with scripting tools such as python or similar languages
- In-depth Experience with data analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, JMP, Exensio and/or similar tools
- Proficient communication skills and content creation using Microsoft Office tools
Preferred
- MSEE and up to 10 yrs experience with digital and mixed-signal ATE test development
- Experience with Advantest V93000 ATE equipment and software
- Demonstrated track record of success developing and releasing complex semiconductor IC products to production
- Strong data analysis skills
- Yield analysis and improvement experience with high volume IC products
- Experience with Labview or similar automation tools
- Experience with simulators including Verilog, Spice, Matlab/Simulink
- Proficiency developing code in Eclipse
- Strong team player within diverse multi-discipline environments
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills
