Job Description


Sensor Test Product Development Engineer position in the Test Product & Technology group is unlike any other product development position at other companies. As a Product Development Engineer in Test Product & Technology group, you will be at the heart of TDK-Invensense's engineering process, leading MEMS Sensor development, collaborating and empowering engineering teams to develop and deliver high quality world leading sensor products quickly. You are a Sensor Product Engineer who is up for pushing the boundaries of product development. You'll be developing new products, writing code for Sensor Test and Product Development, bring up new hardware platforms, getting engaged in the product performance measurement and optimization. You will work on complex projects with deep product and technology stacks and will be in a position to make meaningful impact on the product and team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop sensor product, software and test solutions for wafer and component level.
  • Manage new fixture validation, system integration and implementation.
  • Drive and endorse best practices in product development, code health, testing, and maintainability.
  • Develop complete test solutions across the product life-cycle, for functional and parametric validation of sensor performance.
  • Collaborate with Design/Engineering teams to design product specifications and implement validation.
  • Provide feedback and solutions to cross functional engineering and operations teams.
  • Make recommendations to design and test coverage improvement.
  • Work with the Engineering team to define test coverage and test fixture requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • BS +7 years, MS +5 years or PhD +3 years’ experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
  • Product development and management experience at technical level is a must
  • Relevant internship or work experience, including development and/or test automation experience.
  • Basic coding skills in one of the following languages C#, C++, C, Python.
  • Basic knowledge in OOP/OOD.
  • Knowledge/experience in Agile methods.
  • Excellent code and product debugging skills
  • Experience in running lab instruments: DDM. oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Signal Processing or Control Systems
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solver and critical thinker


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • MEMS based sensor knowledge and background preferred
  • Scripting skills in Python, Perl, Shell or another common language.
  • Experience with Robotics or Embedded Systems is a plus
  • Experience with material handlers, and environment controllers (i.e. oven, pressure) is a plus
  • Experience with Matlab is a plus
  • Experience with FPGA is a plus
