The Automotive Infotainment, Processing, and Connectivity (IPC) Group is looking for a Product and Test Engineering Co-Op or Intern to participate in a silicon development team responsible for digital audio and mixed signal data connectivity products for the Automotive market, working in a hands-on environment that fosters learning and requires innovative problem solving.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • As a Product and Test Engineering Intern in the Automotive, processing, and Connectivity group, the candidate will work on projects involving development of a new silicon product.

  • Work alongside experienced engineers to

    • Collect and analyze bench test data

    • Verify system robustness

    • Debug failing systems

  • Contribute potential time-saving measurement improvements for product cost reduction or characterize datasheet characteristics over multiple variables including temperature, voltage, and frequency.

 

Previous Experience/Skills Needed & Education Requirements

 

  • Must be enrolled in a BS EE or ECE program and have completed relevant coursework.

  • Hardware skills includes knowledge of reading schematics, identifying circuits on PCBs and familiarity with passive components

  • Experience with measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DVM, etc.

  • Software skills include knowledge of C/C++ and ability to modify existing code and familiarity with Linux.

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office on a PC (or Mac) is a must, including gathering/analyzing data in Excel, writing reports in Word, and creating presentations of their work in PowerPoint.

  • Hands-on-experience with building small electronics circuits on breadboards and/or building Arduino based projects is desirable.

  • Experience with Labview automation is a plus.
