The Test Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and support of manufacturing-based PCB assembly testing technologies, in-particular, Variable Speed Drive industrial PCBA testing processes, within our electronics manufacturing facility; producing over 600,000 industrial power/control based products per year. You will write, debug, and stabilise In-circuit test programs suitable for high volume manufacturing. Technology test techniques such as Goepel, J-Tag Technologies, boundary scan and frame scan maybe utilised within the test equipment. You will also develop an appreciation for device programming. The key element of this role is to deliver Outstanding test solutions for new and existing drives and options products underpinning our Zero-Defect quality culture. Deliver innovative manufacturing test process technologies through the design, deployment, and guide support of fixtures and flying probe in-circuit test systems. Ensuring outstanding process performance through the proactive management of reliable, repeatable, and efficient production testing processes/equipment Improving business performance, through the ownership of core manufacturing In-circuit testing processes. Support of the introduction of new product portfolios and strive for continuous improvement of existing test solutions. Use your skills to move the world forward Understanding of fundamental electronics, circuit design and measurements. An appreciation of machine safety requirements and risk assessment processes. Good communicator who can converse at a technical level and articulate engineering topics in non-specialist or management forums The ability to develop as a core technology authority within the role, with the expectation to develop close networks within our global factory network communities.
