THIS IS YOUR ROLE. Job Profile The Test Engineer participates in analyzing, developing, implementing processes, technologies, and systems for the testing of Protection Relays. Work with hardware and software design to perform fault detection tests of manufactured products making a strong quality gate. Provide safety approved test setups to ensure to meet the EHS policy standards. Providing on shop floor support to production for achieving the targets with predictive measures to avoid downtimes due to testing. • Programming of device assembly. • Fixture development • Support in new product introduction to meet the project completion timeline. • Monitor status of assigned project and ensure effective execution of projects related to testing part. • Work on reducing the down time of machine and necessary preventive measures. • Support production team in ensuring seamless execution for New Products as well as in mass production. • Co-ordinate with different fixture supplier for new development • Work with R&D during new product introduction. • Maintaining the necessary documents as per ISO standards. • Quality report related to Device testing topics. • Implement technical change in program as per request from change Management process. • On time production supports, in shifts, whenever required by production to meet timelines of projects or rectify machine downtime. Desired Qualification & Experience • B.E Electronics or Electronic & Communication • Experience of working in a Device testing profile in an Electronics / Electrical Manufacturing Unit. · Desired 2-3 years of experience of working in a Device testing profile in an Electronics / Electrical Manufacturing Unit. Experience of working with protection & RTU relays will be preferred. Should have Knowledge of • Power sources - Omicron , High voltage sources Erfi , Chroma • Communication Protocol awareness - RS485 , GPIB-IEEE-488 • Ability to read the test proposals to develop new fixtures. • Ability to develop fixture design/ concept for new products. • Device debugging analysis skill • Knowledge of software languages C# , DOT NET , Visual Basic and Visual Studio OR Java. • Experienced in software programming for GUI , instrument integration and communications . • Expertise in electro-mechanical products testing . • Knowledge of QMS, OHSAS standards requirements. • Good Communication skill to deal with local as well as Global vendors. · Desired 2-3 years of experience of working in a Device testing profile in an Electronics / Electrical Manufacturing Unit.
