Staff Engineer – Test Engineering (Test Software and Validation)

Job Function

TDK-Invensense Taiwan is seeking an experienced MEMS Product Test Software and Validation Engineer to perform WS/FT testing validation to support production, qualifications, yield, and new product development. The successful candidate will provide local support for the successful validation and debugging of development test programs & hardware, and to ensure compliance to test requirements through development and support of processes, plans and procedures. Work closely with product engineering team, testing engineering team (both local and headquarter), and foundry process team. The candidate must understand the testing scripts structures, hardwires architectures, MEMS operation principle, and product requirement in order to validate the test set-up.

His/her primary functions are:

To develop procedures and tools for testing, calibration and verification of the MEMS testing equipment, cooperating with the headquarter testing engineering group and local testing equipment group.
To ensure the equipment is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to the corresponding procedures.
To participate in Route Cause Analysis when repetitive failure of company’s products occur, or failure under warranty. This will include both hardware and software debugging.
To ensure accurate document, record and archive measurement data pertaining to product parameters and process control performance.
To assist and train the Equipment Test Specialists, when required, in troubleshooting and repairing returned products from the customers.
Analyzes validation test data to determine whether systems or processes have met validation criteria or to identify root causes of production problems.
Develops validation master plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, or standard operating procedures
Calibrate, maintain and debug the MEMS characterization and reliability/qualification test tools and platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Good knowledge of programming in C# and My SQL.

2. Experience in semiconductor product testing and software/hardware development.

3. Self-starter who has demonstrated success in a fast-moving environment, possesses a strong affinity for lab work, and can complete tasks with minimal supervision is preferred.

Additional Skills:

1.Relevant experience with analog and digital elements of testing controllers and output driver circuitry, as well as a working knowledge of microprocessors, logic design, and FPGAs, including simulation and programming. Hands-on experience in testing and characterization.

2. Skill in schematic capture, using the Mentor Graphics EDA tool, and hands-on experience in high-speed digital layout techniques using multi-layered FPC or FR4 materials.

3. Prior experience with CMOS, MEMS, or semiconductor manufacturing.

Educational Requirements Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field is required. PhD degree is preferred.
